When Can I Register For Suu Summer Semester

OVERVIEW

UEN Professional Development classes are designed for educators. All classes include instruction on using engineering science for effective instruction and learning strategies. Participants are expected to take some background in teaching and learning and classes crave the development of education-related projects.  In club to participate in UEN courses, participants must be residents of the land of Utah. UEN honors the Military Spouse Residency Relief Human activity (Public Law 111-97).

BENEFITS

At that place are many benefits to taking a class from UEN.  Many teachers take courses in order to obtain an Educational Technology Endorsement, earn relicensing points, lane change credit, improve agreement of applied science for educational use, or refresh classroom practice with new ideas and fun activities.

COST

All courses are free. If participants choose to complete Southern Utah University credit, there is a per credit recording fee directly to SUU after completing all the course requirements. General professional evolution courses (EDPD) are $21 per credit and endorsement courses (EDUC) are $23 per credit. Credit transcription through USBE has no cost.

COURSE SCHEDULE AND REGISTRATION

Nearly classes are repeated several times a year. The course catalog and registration is available at uen.org/register. New class schedules are posted on August i for the winter semester, December i for the spring semester, and Apr ane for the summer semester.  Once registered, all courses volition be bachelor in Sail on the course start appointment.

Participants are encouraged to not register for more than courses than they are able to successfully complete.  Due to the rigorous nature of our courses, it is important to limit an individual'south participation not only to maximize success merely also to permit the opportunity for as many others to participate as possible.

Participants should expect to commit the post-obit amount of time to each course:

• 1 credit courses = three-4 hours per week for 6 weeks
• iii credit courses = 4-5 hours per week for 12 weeks

Class CREDIT

UEN Professional Evolution provides USBE or SUU credit opportunities every bit documentation of course completion. Participants must consummate all coursework in order to receive credit. Credit will not exist given for partial coursework, attendance, or participation.

Once a credit is transcribed, UEN cannot change credit from USBE to SUU or vice versa. It is the responsibleness of each participant to verify that credit appears appropriately in the USBE MIDAS Pedagogy organisation or in their Southern Utah University transcript. Any issues must be reported to grooming@uen.org immediately for timely resolution.  Problems reported to UEN afterwards one yr of course completion may not be eligible for credit.

Utah State Board of Didactics (USBE) Credit

People who are expert candidates for USBE credit: Teachers who plan to stay in the state of Utah, teachers seeking the courses purely to maintain a license, and individuals who want a simple free way to record their credit.

• Used only in the state of Utah
• Recorded in MIDAS
• No toll
• 1 credit = 15 re-licensure points

Southern Utah University (SUU) Credit

People who are skilful candidates for SUU credit:  Teachers who know they may move out of state, teachers who may be able to employ the course to a master'southward programme, individuals without a cactus id, or individuals who need college-level credit for another reason. District lane changes might require higher credit. This varies in each district and you will demand to contact your district assistants.
